LSUGA Conference FAQ

How much does it cost to attend the conference?

The conference fee is $50.00. Please make checks out to the UGA Linguistics Society and send to:

Where will the talks be located?

The presentations will be taking place on the first floor of the Miller Learning Center. Rooms and Schedule TBA.

I need a hotel. Are there any close to campus?

Yes. There are many lodging options in both downtown Athens and the greater area. Many provide shuttles or buses to and from campus.

Will I be able to use my own laptop/tablet to conduct my presentation?

Yes. Electronic cables will be provided to hook up to audio and VGA. Mac users will need to bring a VGA converter if their devices do not support the VGA hookup. Microphones will also be provided. If your presentation requires specialized equiptment, please contact us at LSUGA2014@gmail.com.

I am not presenting. Can I still attend the talks?

Yes. Anyone who pays the conference fee will be allowed to attend all of the events.
