The Linguistics Society at the University of Georgia

The Linguistics Society at the University of Georgia, also known as LSUGA [ləˈʃʊɡə], is our graduate student organization. It aims to foster student engagement and advocate for students' rights.

The society hosts a variety of events including departmental and graduate-student-only socials, ice skating, potluck lunches, and sporting competitions.

Highlights

Since 2014, our society has hosted a yearly conference, the Linguistics Conference at UGA.

The organization also publishes two journals: a Conference Proceedings for all papers presented at the conference and UGA Working Papers in Linguistics which highlights research by graduate students and faculty all over the world.
