Shannon Rodriguez receives Willson Center Graduate Research Award

The Willson Center for Humanities and Arts Advisory Board has awarded Shannon Rodriguez a Graduate Research Award to help fund her dissertation research, the Latino Voices in Georgia Project (LVGP). The LVGP aims to document Latino voices and identities via sociolinguistic interviews and audio-response surveys. The goal of the project is to uncover how Latinos in Georgia index their Latinidad or “latino-ness” and Southerness in their speech, bringing awareness to the Latino Southerner’s experience. If you or someone you know would like to participate, please do so using the link https://tinyurl.com/LatinoVoicesGA or contact Shannon Rodriguez for more information.
