Javad Anjum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education at the University of Georgia. He worked as a physician in India and pursued clinical research in Neurophysiology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences. He then completed an MEd in Educational Research and Evaluation and a PhD in Speech-Language Science, both from the Ohio University. Javad specializes in semantics and his current research interests are in understanding the impaired and unimpaired cognitive-linguistic processes in aphasia and other neurogenic language disorders and developing assessment methods and treatment programs towards improving rehabilitation outcomes in this population.
