Michael graduated from the Linguistics M.A. program in 2023. His committee members were Dr. Chad Howe (major professor), Dr. Jon Forrest, and Dr. Ruth Harman.

He is currently the communications editor for the Journal of Language & Literacy Education (JOLLE@UGA).
