The Linguistics Society at UGA is pleased to announce the Linguistics Conference at University of Georgia (LCUGA 2024) on February 17-18th (in-person) in Athens, GA.

The theme of this year's conference is "Modeling Language." We are excited to announce this year's plenary speakers: Luis Ulloa (PhD Candidate, SUNY: University at Buffalo) and Dr. Sashank Varma (Professor, Georgia Tech).

Additionally, we have two special sessions:

  • "Bridging the Gap: Integrating Second Language Acquisition Research into Effective Language Instruction"
  • "An Exploration of Tense and Aspect in Minoritized Varieties"
