Dr. Keith Langston presented a paper "Corpus planning and corpus data: Language advice and actual usage in Croatian" at the 12th Annual Meeting of the Slavic Linguistics Society, September 21-24 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Dr. Chamorro spent time this summer collecting data to investigate temporal reference in Tenetehára. She found that the language has a ‘graded past tense system’ with three degrees of remoteness and an evidentiality system that conflates temporal and source of reported information.
The Linguistics Department is proud to announce that two CURO students will be working with our faculty this fall.
